Strategic Project Manager Overview:
Under the guidance and direction of the Director of Community Resilience Programs the Strategic Project Manager role assists with executing the operational strategy of the programs within the Community Resilience Division. This role is an integral member of the organization leading the departments efforts in building maintaining and improving data performance systems that tell the story of the departments impact to the public and Commissioners Court and help department leaders improve operations. This position requires a combination of technical business analysis and communication skills. The position is responsible for data collection quality control real-time integration monitoring and reporting key metrics and trends.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assists the CRP Director with executing the operational strategy of the programs to ensure maximum productivity of the division.
Work closely with the CRP Director and Sr. Managers in creating workflow of case management and ensuring eligibility criteria are met for each administered program.
Work collaboratively with key staff to develop and maintain data systems that track program performance integrating fiscal personal and project deliverables through dashboards and automated reporting that improve dissemination of performance data to management and stakeholders.
Analyze program department and countywide requirements and recommend improvement of existing or creation of new data tools flow patterns and practices to meet such needs.
Assist with program-specific application processes and maintains documentation files and correspondence; monitors program statistics and budget; reviews and reports program data in software and other applications.
Guides a project from application submission to award by coordinating information and providing support through budget and data analysis.
May prepare agenda items for Commissioners Court and attend meetings.
Other duties as assigned.

Education:
Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university; Masters degree can be used in lieu of two (2) years of work experience.
Experience:
Minimum three (3) years of experience using data to help organizations make operational decisions or improve service quality.
Licensure:
Valid Drivers License (Texas upon hire)
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge and understanding of departmental programs.
Excellent listening interpersonal written and oral communication skills.
Time management daily activity planning and ability to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with performance management building dashboards process improvement building spreadsheet tools automation and data engineering.
Ability to oversee and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to determine and execute the appropriate analytical approach for the operational issue - including when to use more basic and more complex methods.
Ability to deal tactfully with a diverse group of people in a professional manner in a complex organization.

Position Type and Typical Hours of Work:
Full-Time Grant-funded
Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Weekends and Evening when required.
Flexible/hybrid work schedule.
Work Environment:
The job is performed in a professional office environment.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines.
Employment may be contingent on passing a drug screen and meeting other standards.
