This role requires the ability to float to various Mayfield sites.
Our Compensation package will include a market-competitive hourly rate a float premium and mileage.
Education/Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiology Technology.
- Must have AART & Current Radiology Technician license in the State of Ohio.
- Minimum 2 years of Radiology Technician experience.
- C-Arm and portable X-ray equipment experience required.
Essential Functions:
- Help develop and maintain a corporate culture that supports the mission and values of Mayfield Clinic.
- Performs x-ray technician functions under the direct supervision of a physician.
- Demonstrates competency in the area of practice.
- Assists as required with positioning of the patient for radiology procedure.
- Obtains the highest quality of work with concern for patient safety and comfort.
- Applies principles of radiation protection.
- Evaluates radiographs for technical quality.
- Calculates and regulates equipment using established techniques and experience.
- Operates mobile fluoroscopy equipment in the procedure room and OR.
- Maintains a safe orderly work area and practices using safety factors.
- Controls inventory and purchase of supplies in the assigned area.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the field using continuing education and in-service.
- Participates in the Performance Improvement process and activities including the areas of safety infection control patient satisfaction physician satisfaction documentation compliance with OSHA standards and risk management
- Recognizes safety hazards and initiates appropriate corrective and/or preventive measures.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient and organization-related information.
Ensures radiation monitoring devices are used at all times.
- Monitors the results of monitoring devices.
- Monitors the efficacy of shielding devices.
- Recognizes when control limits have been exceeded and takes appropriate action.
- Provides for staff education as needed.
Demonstrates an appropriate awareness of age-specific development needs for the population served as related to the performance of departmental duties.
