Job Description
Job Summary
The Instructional Aide supports teachers in fostering a safe engaging and faith-centered learning environment. The aide assists with classroom instruction supervision and clerical tasks helping ensure that all students receive the support they need to succeed academically socially and spiritually.
Job Responsibilities
Assist the teacher in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities.
Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
Help maintain classroom discipline and promote a positive respectful atmosphere.
Support students with special needs as directed by the teacher or specialist.
Prepare instructional materials set up classroom equipment and help organize supplies.
Supervise students in the classroom hallway playground cafeteria or during school events.
Assist with clerical tasks such as copying filing and record-keeping.
Model Catholic values and participate in school faith activities and prayer.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with school and diocesan policies including Safe Environment guidelines.
Job Requirements
Experience working with school-aged children is strongly preferred.
Practicing Catholic preferred; must support the mission of Catholic education.
Ability to follow teacher direction communicate effectively and maintain a professional demeanor.
Completion of diocesan Safe Environment training and background check required.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.
