Job Description:
Plans schedules coordinates and/or monitors final approval of products through the complete production cycle to meet production requirements. Works from engineering plans and production specifications to ensure materials are provided according to schedules. Advises management of the status of work in progress coordinates with manufacturing quality and supply chain and interfaces with engineering and program management as well as external customers. Ensures availability of materials and labor to meet production requirements and delivery commitments. Works to resolve labor and material shortages backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement manufacturing build plans to meet customer contractual delivery schedules
- Utilize Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) system to input Master Schedule build plans track material availability status kit readiness release shop orders and maintain all shop order records and inventory integrity
- Update and maintain make items lead times within MRP system
- Manage floor stock of program components
- Work jointly with Manufacturing and Quality teams to execute build schedule and address any issues in a timely manner
- Work with Materials Planners to proactively manage the schedule and material dock dates to ensure accuracy of planning
- Provide hardware status updates and performance statistics to program team based on status of hardware through Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Knowledge and/or experience in scheduling or supply chain planningpreferred.
- Strong computer and analytical skills combined with the ability to manage large amounts of quantitative data
- Proficient in the use Microsoft Office software;working knowledge of relational data bases.
- Knowledge and/or experiencewith Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) or other enterprise planning and scheduling suite
- Ability to actively listen to customer and plant issues efficiently troubleshoot problems andimplement solutions in a timely and customer focused manner
- Demonstrated analytical verbal and written communicationskills
- Proficient organization conflict management and adaptable in a rapidly changing environment
