Job Description

Delta Dental of Kentucky is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Individual Benefits Sales Coordinator to join our dedicated marketing team.
Job Summary:
This role is responsible for supporting and facilitating the successful administration and billing of products in the individual market segment while contributing to the financial health of the organization and providing exceptional service to its clients.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage the monthly billing process of all individual product enrollees ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Work directly with the vendor(s) on timelines and processes and develop expertise in the processes and software navigation.
  • Manage billing-related enrollment updates for all individual plan products and work with system vendor to update records as needed from routine sales and open enrollment changes.
  • Analyze and resolve complex billing issues including failures and underpayments utilizing strong problem-solving skills.
  • Identify and correct billing errors conveying issues to the appropriate teams and vendors with follow-through until resolution.
  • Partner with customer service on handling escalations communications and direction on resolution.
  • Assist the Individual Market Account Specialist with broker communication and issue resolution.
  • Identify and coordinate recurring billing errors appropriately escalating significant issues and/or product improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with Finance to assist with billing processes in relation to card payment processors (such as ).
  • Assist in updating individual marketing materials on an annual basis.
  • Assist in the audit of individual enrollment platform and individual pages on corporate website.
  • Work closely on the expansion of non-branded or additional individual dental insurance products.
  • Perform other related assigned duties as necessary to complete the Primary Job Responsibilities as described above.
Minimum Qualifications:
Position requires a bachelors degree in business marketing or related field or one to three years experience in marketing sales billing or a related area. Experience in an insurance environment preferred. Will accept any suitable combination of education training or experience.
Must possess or be willing to obtain a Kentucky Health Insurance License within 12-15 months.
Requires strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment with a strong customer service orientation; ability to handle enrollee and organizational information in a confidential manner and exercise independent judgment within the scope of knowledge and responsibility.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel for data management and reporting; experience with billing and practice management software; ability to translate business needs/requirements into software and processes that enable those needs.
