About the role:
A career in our Accounting Services Group practice within Assurance Support services will provide the opportunity to support our engagement teams and clients by providing advice and counsel on accounting financial reporting and strategic business issues. In joining youll help ensure a complete and relevant exchange of information among our consultants and in turn with engagement teams and clients provide experts advice on a variety of specific topics support engagement teams in resolving complex issues and supporting clients and their subsidiaries in evaluating the potential impact of accounting and reporting standard setting initiatives. Youll develop strong relationships with our engagement teams and established audit clients and enhance our ability to meet greater investor expectations with the challenges of an increasingly complex business environment.
Our team provides advice and counsel on accounting financial reporting and strategic business issues using US GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards frameworks. Youll work on both local and global engagements and keep PwC teams informed about accounting and financial reporting developments that might affect engagements through issuing communications and through curated trainings. Youll also assist with developing and communicating PwCs point of view to internal and external parties as needed.
What your days will look like:
Provide year-round dedicated technical accounting support to the CRS (Corporate Reporting Services) network teams around the world;
Contribute to IFRS thought leadership and knowledge management
Prepare papers and presentations for the GCRSLT on a wide range of strategic policy and operational topics.
Support the UK CRS Leader in making the best use of the UK Firms contribution to the Global CRS network by assisting in the effective implementation of global initiatives into the UK CRS team.
Review financial statements of high-profile clients
This role is for you if:
Must possess a Chartered Accountant / ACA / ACCA / ICAS qualified accountant Qualification (or an international equivalent) or have equivalent work experience. This includes international candidates who qualify through experience in their home country.
A good working knowledge of international financial reporting standards.
Demonstrated ability to think conceptually and find creative solutions to complex issues.
Strong influencing and team working skills with both peers and senior individuals a passion for communication
A willingness to challenge points of views and opinion through presenting logical arguments.
Assertive flexible proactive and self-motivated with a desire for learning.
Good organisational skills with the ability to multi-task be flexible and recognise changing priorities.
