Responsibilities
As a Cook you will prepare food for our patients staff and visitors following safe cooking techniques. You will take pride and have a passion for cooking for those who cannot cook for themselves. You understand that most guests at our facility dine with us for a reason and take great pride in giving them one less thing to worry about.
To be successful as a Cook you should be able to use various cooking techniques and methods to prepare meals that meet our customers expectations. Ultimately a top-notch cook should be able to handle multiple food orders without compromising on quality. You must enjoy leading and helping others and working in a fast-paced fun environment!
- Prepares food for patients staff and visitors of the healthcare facility following safe cooking techniques.
- Supports quality control measures such as recipe adherence and food quality consistency.
- Maintains kitchen area to state required sanitary standards.
- Completes all tasks on duty while adhering to safety standards and policies of the hospital.
**This is a PRN role (Per Diem or As Needed) that is non-benefitted with no set schedule. The rate of pay for this position is $24.01 /hour**
Qualifications
Minimum:
- One (1) year Food Service experience
- A Food Handlers Permit Within 30-days of Hire
Preferred:
- High School Diploma GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Cooking Experience
