The Active Picker/Packer located in Rensselaer IN is responsible for ensuring that all parcel packages processed through the small parcel area are accurately picked packed and shipped to customers without damage while maintaining efficiency in both time and cost. This role requires attention to detail safe equipment operation and teamwork in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The Wearhouse hours are 5:30 am - 2:00 pm for 1st Shift unless there is overtime which requires the hours to be 3:30 am - 2:00 pm. Second Shift hours are 2:30 pm - 11:30 pm unless there is overtime which requires the hours to be 2:30 pm - 1:00 am.

Role Responsibilities:

• Perform tasks such as picking pack slipping packing manifesting and loading.

• Report quality variances or product discrepancies.

• Operate all necessary equipment in the small parcel work area.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.

• Lift cartons or products weighing up to 50 lbs.

• Comply with DOT HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures.

• Use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• Perform additional duties as assigned to support Donaldsons mission vision and strategic objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

• Basic computer skills.

• Ability to stand for 812 hours per day.

• Ability to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to operate power industrial equipment.

• Ability to perform multiple tasks throughout the day in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong interpersonal skills to interact constructively and effectively with all plant employees.

• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment toward shared goals.

• Flexibility to adapt to change and handle other duties as assigned.

• Strong attendance record with consistent and predictable reliability.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook Excel Word Access) and internet navigation.

• Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) including RF use and user interface.

• Experience with third-party carrier systems such as UPS Worldship and FedEx online shipping.

• Previous warehouse or small parcel shipping experience.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in shipping/packing.
