Job Description
Overview
Were seeking an Emergency Department RN to join our team! In this role youll be a part of our emergency department team that specializes in emergency medicine and provides care to a variety of patients from newborns to geriatrics who come by ambulance or walk in. The Emergency Department provides the initial treatment and stabilization of patients who come with a broad spectrum of illnesses and injuries some of which can be life threatening.
Location: Finley Hospital- Dubuque IA
Shift: 0.9 FTE (36 hours/week)
11a-11p Every 3rd weekend holiday rotation

Responsibilities
What Youll Do:
- Provide nursing care for patients with actual or potential health care problems
- Plan and direct the nursing care for individuals patients groups of patients and their families coordinating care in collaboration with other health care professionals
- Perform physical exams and health histories provide health promotion and education administer medications wound care and numerous other personalized interventions
- Interpret patient information and makes critical decisions about needed actions
Qualifications
What Youll Need:
Education:
(ASN) Associates degree in Nursing required
Must obtain a (BSN) Bachelors degree in Nursing within 5 years of your start date with UnityPoint Health- Finley Hospital
License/Certifications:
Must hold an active license to practice nursing in the state of Iowa
