Purpose of Job
The Senior Product Owner Digital Transformation plays a pivotal role in designing and driving complex digital transformation programs and initiatives in Chemicals. This position serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders development teams and end-users driving and ensuring the success of high-impact agile projects by defining prioritizing and guiding the development of product features that align with strategic business goals and deliver the highest value to our customers and colleagues.
Key Accountabilities
Develop and maintain a digital roadmap to transform the business identifying the domains and activities that benefit from digitalization Design and manage end-to-end digital programs and initiatives leveraging agile and design-thinking principles to drive sustainable implementation Define and communicate a comprehensive product vision aligned with the overall digital transformation strategy and corporate objectives Create and maintain a comprehensive product backlog and prioritize features to maximize business value and customer impact Build and manage strong relationships with key stakeholders and senior management and engage with them on a regular basis to ensure effective communication and alignment of priorities Collaborate closely with the Scrum Master to drive the efficient and effective implementation of agile practices within the product team and organization Proactively identify and mitigate complex risks associated with product development ensuring high-quality solutions are delivered on time Facilitate transparent communication within the team and with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals Design monitor and report on key performance indicators providing insights into the success and impact of product developments Drive and promote a culture of open communication and continuous improvement within the organization providing regular updates on project status risks and achievements Act as subject matter expert in a specific business domain or area of technology for the team and maintain external professional accreditation where relevant Stay ahead of industry trends market dynamics and competitive activities to inform strategic decisions and innovation
Formal Education
- University Bachelors Degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Chemical/Process Engineering Chemistry or other technical disciplines related to the Chemicals value chain
Working Experience
- 8 years of substantial technical work experience together with comprehensive job related experience
Required Personal/Professional Skills
- Extensive experience with agile practices and methods like Scrum and Kanban
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and engage senior leadership
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- In-depth understanding of digital technologies and their strategic alignment with business objectives
- Extensive experience in managing diverse stakeholder expectations and collaborating effectively
- Track record of high-impact projects as a Product Owner in a digital transformation environment
- Servant leadership approach with assertiveness for decision-making
- Personal adaptability and flexibility with high situational awareness
- Results orientation and ownership mindset
- Fluent proficiency in spoken and written English
