A role inBuyingmeans working with several diverse vendors to choose the best product mix both in-store and online. We help determine where to localize while calibrating market positioning and acting as brand managers. Here youll own a wide SKU count so that your work is varied and challenging. Through cross-functional collaboration instinct and creativity you will be the expert on the guest the market and the competition.
As a Sr Merchandise Specialist supporting your categories for in-store and online channels youll provide key executional support to both our merchandise buying and planning teams. You will be integral to new vendor setup and to maintaining item and vendor data across many SKUs. You will proactively communicate on behalf of the department in meetings and via email acting as the liaison for Import Operations Transportation Store Ops and vendors. You will also help coordinate samples and solve problems with our supply chain partners to ensure successful product flow through our network.

About you:
Four-year degree or equivalent work experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
Detail-oriented multitasker
High sense of urgency and takes initiative as a self-starter
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and efficiently
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Targets needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team members core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually depending upon what your role team and tasks require for that day.
