Department Overview
Childrens Minnetonka is a multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center consisting of five operating rooms. Childrens surgery centers are the first and only in Minnesota to be verified as a Level I Childrens Surgery Center by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Childrens Surgery Verification Quality Improvement Program. Achieving Level I verification is the highest level of distinction for health systems that perform complex surgical procedures in newborns children and teens.
The pre/post op staff at Childrens Minnetonka rotates working in three areas: PlayWait (admitting) PACU (post op recovery) and PH II (recovery discharge). Our nurses have the ability to work through all specialties in a fast-paced outpatient setting meeting the needs of children ages 3 months to 18 years of age before and after surgery.
In 2018 we performed 3200 surgeries in these specialty areas: ear nose and throat (ENT); dental and oral surgery; endoscopy; colonoscopy; plastics; general surgery; ophthalmology; physiatry; and urology.

Position Summary
This position exists to assist the providers and staff in the clerical and patient care aspects of the pediatric clinic. The schedule for this role is Tuesday through Friday 7:00am-3:30pm.
