Job Description

Summary: This position will lead and coordinate daily operations in a variety of patient care activities to ensure all operations within the clinic are functioning appropriately. The individual will assist in the delivery of health care and patient care management in accordance with scope and licensure and will take an active lead in facilitating identified performance improvement activities within the department. Will uphold ODHS Mission Vision and Values.
This role will be located at 333 S. Madison St. The role is full time 40 hours a week.

Mission Improve the Quality of Life of Others:
  • Works to ensure the reporting area(s) is operating effectively and efficiently in alignment with the mission vision and value statements.

Vision ODHS preferred partner in East Central Indiana for improving the well-being of individuals and the communities in which they live:
  • Develops and monitors reports and analytics relative to effective departmental decision making quality control and performance improvement.
  • Works with management and other department leaders in developing preparing and evaluating and improving programs and activities of ODHS.
  • Leads and facilitates identified performance and quality improvement initiatives within the assigned department. Works with Operations Manager and other members of leadership to identify plan implement and evaluate projects designed to improve operations enhance patient care and expand services.
  • Adheres to the standards and policies of the Organizational Privacy/Security and Compliance guidelines and other State & Federal laws. This also includes reporting to the Compliance Officer Privacy Officer supervisor or suggestion box for any suspected unethical fraudulent or unlawful acts or practices.

  • Responsible for hiring evaluating and disciplining reporting staff.
  • Responsible for oversight of departmental orientation training and follow-up with staff to ensure staff understand desired results associated with duties and resources available to achieve results.
  • Responsible for acting as the first line of escalation to actively mitigate escalate and resolve customer service and staff complaints.
  • Provides leadership for the development and enforcement of policies/procedures.
  • Maintains knowledge and compliance with personnel nursing medical and clerical policies and procedures.
  • Participate in planning problem solving continuing education and professional growth of staff.
  • Motivates and trains staff to achieve peak productivity and performance.
  • Performs other required duties as assigned in accordance with scope and licensure.

Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification or degree in Healthcare Administration.
  • Preferred but not required: Indiana State Nurse License.
  • Required: 2 years of progressive leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Preferred: 5 years of work experience in the health care arena in a clinic or office setting. Experience using recognized quality improvement techniques such as LEAN PDSA cycle are also preferred.

Certificate/License:
  • CPR & First Aid certification.
  • TB certification is a plus at hire required to be maintained through ODHS post hire.

  • Knowledge of various software programs including Microsoft products electronic medical records and practice management systems.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:
  • Frequent exposure to communicable diseases toxic substances medicinal preparations and other conditions common to clinic environment. Tasks involve contact with blood or body substances.
  • Requires standing walking or sitting for long periods of time. Occasional bending stretching or lifting up to 40 pounds.
  • Requires the ability to work in stressful situations.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range or use of approved adaptive equipment.
