Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate PRN Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide high-quality rehabilitation services on an as-needed basis. The PTA will work closely with Physical Therapists to implement treatment plans assist patients in restoring movement and function and contribute to their overall recovery and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Physical Therapist in evaluating patients and executing treatment plans.
  • Provide direct therapy services including therapeutic exercises manual therapy techniques and mobility training.
  • Educate patients on therapeutic techniques and proper use of assistive devices.
  • Observe and document patient progress and report any changes to the Physical Therapist.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of therapy sessions in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards of practice in physical therapy.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Licensure: Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in Missouri.
  • Experience: Prior experience in rehabilitation or clinical settings preferred.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal organizational and communication skills.
  • Certifications: CPR certification (preferred).

Work Environment

  • PRN (as-needed) position with flexible scheduling.
  • Work settings may include hospitals outpatient clinics skilled nursing facilities or home health environments.
  • Requires adaptability and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a care team.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist required.
  • Excellent verbal written and interpersonal skills.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to navigate electronic documentation.


Areas of Responsibility:

  • Evaluates assigned patients and develops implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patients need and physicians direction within the post-acute setting.
  • Supervision of physical therapist assistants within scope of practice
  • Communication with interdisciplinary team with focus on case managing patients needs not minutes!
Salary Description
$55 - $65 / hour
