The Red Hat Internal Audit team is looking for an Internal Auditor to join our team. In this role youll gain broad exposure to global operations through the execution of financial operational and strategic audits and develop strong working relationships with management and stakeholders.
What you will do:
Independently conduct audit and advisory fieldwork procedures including performing data analytics conducting walkthroughs performing sample-based testing using inspection observation and additional techniques. Independently prepare work papers schedules and summaries documenting testing and procedures performed.
Evaluate the sufficiency of and adherence to internal policies/procedures and regulatory compliance and sufficiency and appropriateness of supporting evidence provided by management. Identify issues in testing and escalate them to the Senior Internal Auditors and Manager as needed. Recommend operating improvements and report findings and recommendations to management.
With support from the Senior Internal Auditors proactively interact with management and stakeholders to gather information resolve problems and make recommendations for business and process improvement.
Assist Senior Internal Auditors with performing internal audit planning and risk assessment activities developing audit scopes objectives and work plans including the selection of appropriate audit tests and identification of key controls as needed.
Maintain awareness of internal controls internal audit and relevant industry trends to support effective performance of the role.
Be adept in balancing the dual role of independent objective assurance provider and consultative business partner.
What you will bring:
2-3 years of experience in audit or risk management positions with responsibility for interfacing with management and external auditors.
Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting Business or related field.
Public accounting experience is strongly preferred. Operational auditing experience is strongly preferred.
Relevant professional certifications preferred (CPA or CIA).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly assess business processes and solve complex problems.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Commitment to quality willingness to challenge current practice and innovate continuous improvement mindset.
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location experience applicable skills and training external market value and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hats compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus commission and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
