You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Department of Psychiatry is seeking a Psychometrician responsible for the administration and scoring of psychological and neuropsychological tests for University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics patients. Duties and Responsibilities
Accurately administer and score psychological tests for pediatric and adult populations: intelligence aptitude neuropsychological achievement mood and personality tests.
Research and consult on test selection and usage.
Order and maintain manuals scoring keys forms and answer sheets.
Maintain effective working relationships with faculty staff students patients and the public.
Participate in IRB approved research as appropriate including entering patient data into databases.
Provide support for scheduling by coordinating availability of necessary space and facilitating communication among clinical staff and referral sources.
Provide support for triaging consults for psychological and neuropsychological services within the Adult and Child Psychology Clinic.
Complete pre-authorization for psychological and neuropsychological services.
Check for errors in administration recording or scoring and make appropriate corrections.
Maintain reliability with standardized assessments.
Accurately organize track and maintain files including medical files in conjunction with other clinical staff.
Percent: 50% part time
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in psychology or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is required; a masters degree is desirable.
Minimum of (6 months 1 year) experience administering psychological tests.
Must be proficient in computer software applications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop rapport with patients.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Desired Qualifications
A masters degree.
Proficient with personal computer and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of statistics.
Experience in psychiatry neurology and clinical psychological and neuropsychological assessment.
Some experience in student personnel counseling and/or teaching.
