Based in Cluj Napoca as a Senior R&D Group Manager you will championorganizational process improvements drive thestandardization of project workflows and build a culture ofcollaboration innovation and accountability in addition to leading a hard-working team of engineers and project professionals.
In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Mentor and train new engineers. Develop and mentor team members promoting a collaborative environment passionate about professional growth and accountability.
- Provide technical leadership for a team of engineers. Lead a multi-functional team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)with deep technical proficiency in the development of Software and Hardware products for test & measurement.
- Responsible for meeting deadlines and milestones. Works with the project manager. Responsible for ensuring effective management of projects on time cost and quality.
- Prioritize projects and manage technical resources. Oversee project planning processes including the definition of scope objectives timelines resource allocation and budget management.
- Foster a culture of collaboration innovation inclusion safety and customer service across a diverse multi-disciplinary team.
- Lead post-project reviewsto assemble lessons learned and drive continuous improvement across project workflows.
- Manages administrative tasks.
Who You Are:
Experienced technical leader who wants to work with a team of engineers to provide technical mentoring and leadership while taking care of the people management and administrative tasks project management.
For This Role You Will Need:
- Bachelors degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- 10 yrs of relevant experience in Engineering Technical project management or Product development roles commensurate with the level of this position.
- Understanding of software design and architecture principles. Experience programming in C C Python.
- Understanding of FPGA technology digital and analog circuits and embedded system design and analysis.
- Experience in leading a technical team of engineers providing technical guidance to software and hardware projects .
- Experience implementing standardized project workflows and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proven ability to inspire coach and build high-performing teams in a matrixed environment.
- Excellent communication collaboration and partner leadership skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- 10 years of dynamic experience in Engineering Technical project management or Product development roles.
- 7 years experience managing a team
- Experience working in a technical manufacturing or engineering industry.
- PMI/PMP certification
