CHI St. Alexius Health is a regional health network with a tertiary hospital in Bismarck the system also consists of critical access hospitals (CAHs) in Carrington Dickinson Devils Lake Garrison Turtle Lake Washburn and Williston and numerous clinics and outpatient services. CHI St. Alexius Health manages four CAHs in North Dakota - Elgin Linton and Wishek as well as Mobridge Regional Medical Center in Mobridge S.D. CHI St. Alexius Health offers a comprehensive line of inpatient and outpatient medical services including: a Level II Trauma Center primary and specialty physician clinics home health and hospice services durable medical equipment services a fitness and human performance center and ancillary services throughout western and central North Dakota.

The Informaticist position uses informatics knowledge and expertise clinical and operation experience critical thinking and leadership skills to facilitate a multidisciplinary approach to promote quality care. The position engages with diverse teams (i.e. Operations Information Technology Epic AMS etc) at multiple levels of the organization. The position works with stakeholders in the areas of evaluation planning development and implementation of new features functionality tools and workflow. The position supports the end user by providing onsite and virtual training for new hires and existing staff.
Required Education for Staff Job Levels
Four-year clinical degree or equivalent
Required Licensure and Certifications
Epic Proficient or Credentialted in primary module within one year of hire.
Required Minimum Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Minimum of two years experience in a healthcare setting
Ability to adapt to new or changing environments
Strong critical thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with large diverse projects including planning facilitating and implementation
PREFERRED Qualifications
Epic Proficient or Credentialed in one or modules within one year of hire.
Experience working with an EMR
Informatics training
Degree or Certification in Computer Science MIS Nursing Informatics HIT Health Administration or other related field.
