Your Job
Georgia-Pacific is now hiring a Maintenance Planner at their Asheboro NC site! The Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing and helping execute maintenance plans to enable the efficient and reliable operation of the site.
The Maintenance Planner works closely with Manufacturing Engineers Supervisors Coaches Operating Technicians Reliability and Maintenance resources and the Engineering Department in troubleshooting and planning upgrades/repairs to equipment.

The Asheboro plant employs approximately 160 people. It serves customers across the nation providing them with bulk boxes. This position provides opportunities for promotion both in Asheboro as well as many other Georgia-Pacific and Koch facilities across the country. Come join our team!

What You Will Do
Learn and apply all aspects of Georgia-Pacifics Asset Maintenance (AM) process to effectively plan work
Review all work orders decide whether a field check is required and assemble a job plan a bill of materials and all necessary permits
Analyze work order completion data as well as planned work completion to help eliminate unplanned maintenance downtime
Work with the Operations and Maintenance team members to develop a prioritized and 100% resource loaded schedule to optimize internal resources
Collaborate with production managers reliability manager and maintenance supervisor on the weekly top priority
Report weekly completion rates and weekly schedule adherence on a month to date basis
Builds and provides scope of work to contractors and conducts pre-bid meetings and awards projects
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Experience in a manufacturing production industrial military environment or two-year technical degree
Experience using Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word Excel Projects)
Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship
What Will Put You Ahead
Experience as a Maintenance Scheduler or Planner in an industrial manufacturing environment
Experience with tracking purchase orders from generation to invoicing
Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
