Job Description
Dr Roy Wilson Learning Center
Temporary 0.80 J unior High Options and ELP Teacher
Dr. Roy Wilson Learning Center (DRWLC) is looking to fill a 0.8 FTE temporary position for August 26 2025 to June 26 2026. DRWLC is located in the southeast area of the city and serves 725 students from ELP to grade 9. It is a dynamic and innovative school with a commitment to creating engaging learning experiences for students.
For this position instruction in the morning will be in the Early Learning Program which serves as a foundational learning experience based on play for 3- & 4-year-old students. In addition this position combines a junior high teaching component in the afternoon which will include the option rotation physical education and the possibility to support one of our school-based academies. It will be an asset if candidates have the skillset to support junior high options the Culinary Arts Academy or the Art and Design Academy.
The successful candidate will be required to support the schools mission vision and values to create authentic connections and provide meaningful learning for candidates will be ready to empower students to be responsible engaged learners who collaborate and demonstrate a growth mindset. A commitment to the schools core values of Respect Community Responsibility and Engagement are essential. An understanding of Teacher Clarity as a foundation for planning instruction and assessment will be important.
