The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for improving manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency reduce cost and ensure product quality. This role is critical in driving continuous improvement implementing lean manufacturing principles and supporting production teams with technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design implement and optimize manufacturing processes for wire drawing stranding and closing operations.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues in coordination with maintenance and production teams.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing throughput reducing scrap and improving product consistency.
- Specify tooling and equipment requirements for production lines and assist with new equipment installations and upgrades.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends bottlenecks and opportunities for process optimization.
- Analyze design and implement manufacturing processes and systems to improve quality productivity and efficiency.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for process-related issues.
- Develop and maintain process documentation including work instructions standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process flow diagrams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production quality product management engineering and supply chain to ensure seamless production introductions and process changes.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle time scrap rate and throughput.
- Conduct time studies line balancing and capacity analysis to support operational planning.
- Utilize tools such as Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing and FMEA to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety quality and environmental standards and regulations.
- Support capital projects related to equipment upgrades automation and process enhancements.

Qualifications :
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering Industrial Engineering Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience (3 years) in a manufacturing engineering role
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes quality control and process improvement methodologies.
- Proficient with CAD software ERP systems and other engineering tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement methodologies.
- Experience in wire rope manufacturing.
- Familiarity with automation robotics and advanced manufacturing technologies.
