You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe House of Commons Procedural Services is currently looking to staff the Chief of Protocol position on a temporary basis with the possibility of extension and/or indeterminate appointments in the future.
About the Role:
As part of the International and Interparliamentary Affairs team you play an integral role in the delivery of official visits and events held on behalf of the Canadian Parliament. Within this role your knowledge of parliamentary protocol equips you and your team to provide recommendations organize coordinate and execute multiple events on behalf of the Speaker Parliamentarians Clerks and other senior Senate and House of Commons officials. In addition as the manager of the team you are responsible for recruiting and onboarding new employees and for employee development. Finally as a lead collaborator with multiple other organizations government officials and service providers you are responsible for fostering sustainable relationships in order to achieve a common goal efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications :
Education:
Post-secondary education in a field related to the role such as or similar to hospitality international relations public affairs and policy management or government relations or an acceptable combination of relevant education experience and training.
