Lab Technician

We have an opening for a Lab Technicianat our research site in Plymouth Meeting PA!

The Lab Technician supports daily clinical research operations by collecting processing and shipping lab specimens in accordance with study protocols Flourish Research policies and OSHA guidelines. Youll collaborate closely with Clinical Research Coordinators to ensure timely and accurate sample handling for active trials. This role also includes providing administrative support to the regulatory team and site leadership as needed.

Shift: Monday-Friday 8:30 AM - 5 PM with some Saturday work as needed
Location: 920 Germantown Pike Suite 102 Plymouth Meeting PA 19462
Compensation: $23/hr - $27/hr (depending on experience)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow lab manuals and sponsor protocols to collect and process specimens within required timelines.
• Collect process and ship lab samples using proper lab techniques and in compliance with OSHA and IATA regulations.
• Maintain active IATA certification at all times.
• Protect the confidentiality of patient information protocol details and all HIPAA-regulated data as outlined in Flourish Research and sponsor agreements.
• Immediately report any adverse events or lab-related incidents to management.
• Monitor and maintain adequate stock of lab supplies.
• Communicate professionally with patients sponsors physicians clinic staff and Flourish Research employees whether in person by phone or electronically.
• Attend required training sessions to stay current with regulatory changes and company policies.
• Seek ongoing education related to clinical research lab best practices OSHA and IATA standards.
• Always perform duties safely and responsibly.
• Take on additional tasks as assigned.
• Represent Flourish Research in a professional courteous manner in all verbal written and in-person interactions.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree or relevant experience as a research laboratory technician.
• 13 years of experience in clinical or biological research.
• Proficient in venipuncture and collection of blood specimens using sterile technique.
• Able to guide patients on proper collection methods for urine and other biological samples.
• Capable of understanding and following protocol-specific lab procedures including timelines collection methods processing and shipping requirements per OSHA and IATA standards.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills to manage lab results calls and upkeep of lab manuals equipment and supplies.
• Consistently achieves at least 80% of annual performance goals.
