Job Description

Job Title: Lead Toddler Teacher (Full-Time)

Location: Lealman YMCA Preschool Academy 5175 45th St N St. Petersburg FL 33714

Are you passionate about early childhood education Ready to make a lasting impact on young learners Join our team at the YMCA as a Lead Toddler Teacher! Were looking for someone whos nurturing energetic and committed to creating a positive safe and enriching environment for toddlers.

What Youll Do

  • Deliver high-quality care and early education aligned with the YMCAs values: honesty respect responsibility and caring

  • Plan and lead fun age-appropriate activities-arts & crafts music storytelling outdoor play and more

  • Support positive behavior and foster social-emotional growth

  • Supervise daily routines like meals free play and playground time

  • Build strong positive relationships with families and conduct regular parent-teacher conferences

  • Maintain accurate classroom and program records

  • Participate in staff meetings training and family engagement events

What Youll Need

  • Be at least 18 years old

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • CDA credential or a related college degree

  • Completion of DCF Introductory Child Care Training (Parts 1 & 2)

  • 6 months to 1 year of preschool teaching experience

  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs and actively engage with children both indoors and outdoors
