The Senior Documentation Specialist will manage the documentation and closing process for Equipment Finance transactions in support of Relationship Managers. This position will interface with clients and equipment manufacturers/vendors for all matters related to due diligence documentation perfection closing and funding. This position is a key member of the deal team working collaboratively with cross-functional colleagues to close transactions and exceed customer expectations.

  • Effectively manages and prioritizes work queues for new lease/loan transactions.
  • Ensure lease documents are executed returned and processed within a timely manner.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Proactively manages transactions balancing multiple internal and external stakeholders needs.
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with internal team members and stakeholders to execute work and fulfill service delivery expectations.
  • Reviews documents to verify that forms are correctly completed.
  • Ensure that the business equipment liens and ownership are perfected correctly.
  • Orders and maintains UCC Searches obtaining any UCC Subordinations as needed to ensure first priority security interest in equipment is obtained.
  • Confirms wire instructions provided by the vendor or customer are correct and accurate.
  • Works with clients to obtain equipment invoices proof of payment and evidence of insurance.
  • Strong communication interpersonal and analytical skills required.
  • Detail oriented with ability to multitask.
  • Strong organizational skills are a must.
  • Works independently on a range of complex tasks which may include unique situations.
  • Exercises judgment to identify diagnose and solve problems.
  • Qualifications:

  • Typically between 4 - 6 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • PC skills (MS Word Excel PowerPoint) In-depth.
  • Time management skills In-depth.
  • Prioritization skills In-depth.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience.
  • Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth.

Salary:

$50400.00 - $93600.00

Pay Type:

Salaried

The above represents BMO Financial Groups pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location skills experience education and qualifications for the role and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Groups expected target for the first year in this position.
