Description
Position Overview: We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Officer to join our team
at a prestigious condominium building. The Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining
a safe and secure environment for residents staff and visitors by patrolling the premises
monitoring surveillance equipment and responding to emergencies as needed. Friendliness &
excellent customer service are equally important duties for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol the condominium premises regularly to ensure the safety and security of all residents guests and property.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms to detect suspicious activities or disturbances.
- Respond promptly to emergencies such as fire medical incidents or security threats and take appropriate action as per established protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities incidents and observations.
- Enforce condominium rules and regulations to ensure compliance by residents and visitors.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting residents and guests with inquiries and requests in a courteous and professional manner.
- Collaborate effectively with property management maintenance staff and other security personnel to address security concerns and maintain a cohesive team environment.
- Conduct regular inspections of security equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues to the appropriate authorities.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a security officer preferably in a residential or condominium setting.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
- Excellent observation skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in verbal & written English.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with surveillance equipment and software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical fitness and ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hawaii Guard Card
- Certification in CPR & First Aid.
- Training in crisis management or emergency response procedures.
- Knowledge of local laws and regulations related to security operations.
Working Conditions:
- Shift work including evenings weekends and holidays may be required.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions when patrolling.
