Overview:
The Capital Planning Manager plays a critical role in stewarding AT&Ts capital investments in software development projects. This individual supports the evaluation and prioritization of development requests and business cases to maximize return on investment while ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. The role encompasses coordinating governance processes to maintain disciplined and efficient capital management delivering transparent and insightful reporting and developing forward-looking financial forecasts. Acting as a key liaison the Capital Planning Manager partners closely with product owners customer experience leaders and executives to understand their needs and translate them into actionable investment priorities. This role requires a collaborative mindset strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities may include a mix of financial analysis process management data reporting forecasting and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities (may include):
Review and assess development requests and business cases for financial viability and strategic alignment.
Support capital prioritization processes by providing detailed analysis and actionable recommendations.
Develop and maintain governance frameworks approval workflows and ensure compliance with capital management policies.
Coordinate governance meetings and communications to facilitate transparent and timely decision-making.
Design and manage dashboards and reports that track capital spend project performance and portfolio health.
Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends risks and opportunities for optimization.
Build and maintain financial forecasting models and scenario analyses to anticipate funding needs and support strategic planning.
Collaborate with product owners CX leaders and executives to gather requirements understand priorities and foster effective partnership.
Facilitate stakeholder engagement and feedback loops to ensure investments reflect customer and business needs.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance capital planning processes reporting accuracy and governance efficiency.

Education/Experience: Bachelors degree (BS/BA) desired. 5 years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas.
