Assistant HUB Coordinator under general supervision will assist with maintenance and progress of HUB program. Obtain and disseminate program information to HUB Coordinator PVAMU departments and Vendors via the internet by conducting monthly trainings issuance of memorandums publications etc.
This position may pay more than the salary listed above depending on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
Responsibilities
Serve as a secondary HUB resource to the internal university community and to external entities. Participates in the planning and execution of HUB operations. These responsibilities will include outreach activities with potential HUB suppliers at various HUB forums across the state training to procurement personnel on HUB initiatives and promoting the HUB program as directed by the HUB Coordinator.
Responsible for file retention of all HSP documentation and monitoring Program Assessment Reports (PAR) by prime suppliers on HUB subcontracting activities and compile monthly PAR summaries.
Performs special analyses and project summaries. Meet all Procurement and HUB required reporting to the university and the State of Texas. This will include compiling HUB data from various sources and meeting deadlines for internal monthly reports and state required semi-annual and annual reports and compiling information and meeting deadlines for monthly reporting to the Legislative Budget Board and Comptrollers online reporting systems.
Responsible for assisting the HUB Coordinator on HUB initiatives and PVAMU HUB oversight. These duties will include reviewing and preparing HUB Subcontracting Plans (HSP) for review reviewing HUB classifications on the Centralized Master Bidders List (CMBL) and verifying HUB notifications. Analyzes requirements for projects or initiatives and provides information regarding HUB procedures services or programs. May attend meetings or committees on behalf of HUB Coordinator.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years of related experience in procurement/purchasing.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Knowledge of standard business terms and arithmetic.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Effective interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to provide exacting accuracy in all phases of work.
Preferred Qualification:
Two years of office or project administration experience.
Two years of related HUB experience.
Special Requirements:
Applicants with equivalent experience in lieu of a Bachelors degree may be considered. One year of the related experience is the equivalent of one college year. Applicants being considered for the equivalency must have four years of related experience to meet the equivalency in lieu of a Bachelors degree plus the minimum required years of experience. Applicants being considered for the equivalency must have a total of six years of experience.
