Job Description

POSITION SPECIFICS

The Penn State College of Engineering is seeking an Executive Assistant to manage the operational activities for the Dean. The Executive Assistant will manage a variety of high-level confidential and sensitive activities on behalf of the Dean and College. Due to the sensitivity of items that may arise this position must always exercise complete discretion and confidentiality. This position regularly coordinates and communicates with external and internal stakeholders; therefore the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to perform positively respectfully and professionally at all times. Communications include but are not limited to faculty staff students parents university leadership and alumni. This role will be heavily involved in event coordination committee meetings and Department Head searches.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

MINIMUM EDUCATION WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

Bachelors Degree 6 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None

The successful candidate will demonstrate experience coordinating high-level executive meetings creating agendas and providing necessary briefing materials. Attention to detail organization professionalism integrity proactiveness and the ability to multitask are required. The successful candidate must also demonstrate a genuine appreciation for working with diverse audiences and must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience supervising and a strong working knowledge of University policies and procedures are strongly preferred. Familiarity with event planning HR-related tasks and financial experience are preferred.

Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.

SALARY & BENEFITS

The salary range for this position including all possible grades is $61800.00 - $89600.00.
