Job Description

Building-based Substitute for the 2024-2025 school year to provide instruction and support and to promote student learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher or instructional :- Reports to the building principal or school secretary upon arrival at the school building for daily assignments.- Review with the principal all plans and schedules to be followed during the teaching day.- Consult with the principal and/or staff to resolve questions and/or concerns.- Maintains as fully as possible the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom to which they are assigned.- Develops and maintains a positive learning environment.- Works cooperatively with staff.- Respects student privacy by maintaining the confidentiality of privileged information.- Teaches the lesson outlined and as prepared by the absent teacher.- Consults as appropriate with the building principal before initiating any teaching or other responsibility for overseeing student behavior in class and during lunch and recess all policies rules and procedures to which regular teachers are subject and which good teaching practice any other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as the principal or designee may from time to time assign and : Per the GEA Master Agreement Unit C Salary Schedule
