Job Description
Duties: Perform physical exams (within established protocol). Diagnose and treat (within protocol guidelines). Order diagnostic tests. Prescribe or recommend medications and treatment (within protocol guidelines). Promote positive lifestyle habits to all patients through education and counseling. Perform minor procedures as necessary (within protocol guidelines) Complete documentation within 24 hours. Maintain patients privacy and confidentiality. Make follow up calls to check patients progress. Work closely with nurses to assure patient flow is efficient. Consult with colleagues as needed regarding patient symptoms to assure proper diagnosis and plan of treatment. Performs other duties as assigned
Required Procedures: Sensitive Examinations Minor Procedures (I&D Sutures etc.)
EMR: Allscripts AEHR
Support Staff: Primary Care Providers Triage nurse(s) 1 nurse per provider CNA
