Job Description
Role: Early Years Teaching Assistant
Location: Halton Lodge Primary School
Salary: Grade 4 SCP 4-6
FTE: 24404 to 25183 Actual Salary Pro-Rata: 18519 to 19110
Contract: Fixed Term for 1 year initially
Hours: 32.5 hours per week (full time). Term Time only (39 weeks).
Start Date: September 2025
The Headteacher and Governors Halton Lodge Primary School (soon to become Halton Lodge Nursery & Primary School) wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work alongside our Early Years team to work with and support the children in our Nursery and Reception classes. This position will be temporary (fixed term) in the first instance but will hopefully become a permanent position once the number of children who attend our new school-based nursery make this viable.

The successful candidate will:
- Have experience of working with children aged 3 5 years.
- Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in childcare.
- Demonstrate high expectations of individual achievement and behaviour.
- Be creative and enthusiastic.
- Have good organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Have flair talent and initiative.
- Demonstrate a commitment to raising standards.
- Be able to work in close partnership with the whole school community.
