Job Description
St Andrews is a small school with a big heart and were looking for a passionate classroom teacher to join our wonderful team. If you are a strong classroom practitioner with a love of teaching and looking to take your next career step we could be the school for you. We offer a warm friendly and supportive team where you can truly flourish. The post is in Key Stage 2 and fixed term to 31/08/2026 with a possibility to extend this should a permanent vacancy arise. Were proud to have recently received a successful Ofsted report reflecting the hard work and commitment of our staff and students.

- Is organised proactive and can effectively manage a classroom to create an engaging and positive learning environment.

- Is enthusiastic about being part of a school community that values creativity inclusivity and kindness.
As a school we are very careful around workload and wellbeing. We do this by:
- giving an extra full day of PPA release each term
- weekly release slot for subject leaders
- two-week half-term break for the long Autumn term
- make sure staff meetings are used so teachers can complete key tasks not add extra jobs to do later
- flexi-PPA time where possible
- minimal marking policy using in the moment verbal feedback as our core pedagogy
