Job Description

Our instructors work to change the world one life at a time by helping students reach their dreams through education. The MCCC is looking for a skilled scienceinstructor who is ready to share their expertise and industry knowledge with the next generation. The MCCC is a learning community providing students with a competitive advantage through career technical training and academic excellence for life-long success.

STARTING DATE: August 2025

SALARY: Appropriate placement on the Teachers Salary Schedule commensurate with experience and education

REPORTS TO: Principal or Designee

BENEFITS: State Teachers Retirement System hospitalization dental vision prescription and term life insurance; up to three approved personal days per year; sick leave; tuition reimbursement; professional development opportunities

WORK WEEK/YEAR: 184 days as per the Board adopted calendar

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Valid Ohio Teacher Licensure/Certification in (130000) Comprehensive Science (2025-2026 schedule is heavy in Anatomy & Physiology and Environmental Science but may be subject to change). Effective written and oral communication skills. Ability to build rapport with high school students and many other stakeholders. Ability to work collaboratively with the Science Department. Strong organizational skills. Ability to pass a criminal background check.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: A masters degree. The ability to teach AP courses and/or CCP courses. Practical knowledge working in a career technical center. Strong technology skills. Proven ability to integrate technology into instructional methodology. Solid foundational knowledge of special education. First Aid/CPR/AED Certifications.
