Job Description

Job Title: Loading Standardization Crew Member (LSC)

Job Description:

The Loading Standardization Crew (LSC) Member plays a crucial role in ensuring that all munitions loading operations on assigned Mission Design Series (MDS) aircraft adhere to the highest standards of safety efficiency and reliability. This position involves administering the Loading Standardization and Evaluation Program (LSEP) conducting training evaluations and providing technical expertise to maintenance leadership. The LSC Member will also be responsible for documenting personnel evaluations and certification actions in the Weapons Load Crew Management Tool (WLCMT). Additionally the LSC Member will be required to assist with various hands-on maintenance activities as outlined below.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret (or greater) security clearance.
  • Willingness and ability to work shifts as assigned7 days a week 12 hours a day to support mission requirements.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as part of a maintenance recovery team as required. CONUS and OCONUS deployment may be required.

Training and Evaluation:

  • Develop and coordinate load training aircraft requirements.
  • Conduct monitor and validate training/evaluations to ensure load crews maintain high proficiency levels for safe and reliable aircraft loading.
  • Review and monitor certification qualification and recurring training documents for accuracy.
  • Schedule and ensure completion of required proficiency and academic training for all individuals/load crews.
  • Perform semi-annual evaluations on all certified load crews.

Technical Expertise:

  • Assist with the development of a Task Assignment List (TALS) IAW AFMAN21-206 Para. 7.4 for each munition to be loaded on the OA-1K aircraft.
  • Assist with the development of Weapons Academics supplemental data IAW AFMAN21-206 Paragraphs 7.2.2.3 7.2.2.4 and 7.2.2.7.
  • Provide technical expertise and interpretation of all loading technical data and procedures governing the LSEP.
  • Evaluate and ensure standardization and integrity of the LSEP.
  • Review and coordinate on all weapons loading-related Technical Order (TO) Recommended Changes.

Documentation and Records:

  • Coordinate with Weapons Section(s) WWM and WS SUPT to prevent overdue certifications and qualifications.
  • Monitor flying schedules and perform spot inspections and evaluations of flightline munitions/explosive handling loading and postloading operations.
  • Maintain and manage records of certifications qualifications evaluations and proficiency loads.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all training and evaluation activities in the Weapons Load Crew Management Tool (WLCMT) or equivalent.

Flight Line Operations and General Aircraft Maintenance:

  • Perform hands-on maintenance activities to support flight line operations may include pre-flight post-flight and turnaround inspections.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repairing aircraft systems and components to ensure operational readiness.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to address and resolve aircraft discrepancies and technical issues.
  • Assist in general aircraft maintenance tasks to support overall mission readiness including servicing inspecting and testing aircraft systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Minimum 6 years experience in administering the Loading Standardization and Evaluation Program (LSEP).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance is highly preferred.
  • Experience in USAF as Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) 2W171.
  • Currently hold a Airframe & Poweplant (A&P) License or meet qualifications for licensing
  • Extensive knowledge of MDS aircraft loading operations.
  • Strong understanding of technical orders and proficiency in interpreting loading technical data and procedures.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills to work with various maintenance and operational units.
  • Proven ability to conduct and evaluate training programs effectively.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a maintenance or loading standardization team.
  • Advanced certifications in weapons loading and munitions handling.
