This vacancy is located at the Swanson Center for Youth in MonroeLouisiana.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must have a valid Louisiana Certificate which includes certification in the area of employment as specified by Bulletin 746 Revised Louisiana Department of Education.

There may be additions and alternatives to the above qualifications as the Office of Juvenile Justice determines appropriate.

Job Specification

The incumbents work 7.5 hours per work day.

Job Duties and Other Information

Incumbent is needed to serve in the area of Math and Science to contribute to the mission of Swanson Center for Youth-Monroe.

Use techniques which develop lesson objectives.

Use available curriculum materials and equipment in the teaching / learning process.

Present accurate subject matter and relate relevant examples.

The incumbent will serve as a content teacher for Secondary Education Certified Instructor or Temporary Authority to Teach or eligibility for a TAT core subject matters: Science Social Studies Math or Language Arts.

TEMPORARY JOB APPOINTMENT - This position will be filled by temporary job appointment. Should a permanent position become available the employee may be converted to a probational appointment.

No Civil Service test scoreis required in order to be considered for this vacancy.
