Optometrist
An Optometrist is needed in Gardner MA.
Often referred to as the Chair City for its iconic furniture-making history Gardner is a charming and affordable community nestled in North Central Massachusetts. This opportunity is with a mission-driven health organization serving more than 30 cities across the state offering quality and affordable healthcare to low-income and underserved populations.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary Range: $120000 $145000 depending on experience
- Schedule: 3240 hours per week
- Vacation: 120 hours per year
- Personal Time: 40 hours per year
- CME: 40 hours per year and $2500 allowance
- Holidays: 10 paid holidays annually

- Life Insurance: 1.5x annual salary

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye exams and visual acuity testing
- Diagnose and manage vision problems and eye disease
- Prescribe corrective lenses and therapeutic procedures
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare providers
- Participate in quality improvement meetings and chart audits
- Help develop departmental protocols and compliance processes
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow scope-of-practice standards
- Reports to: Director of Optometry
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Optometry program
- Licensed Optometrist in the State of Massachusetts
- Valid CPR Certification
- 2 years of experience preferred
- Must hold or obtain Optometric Legend Drug Certificate
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
