We offer generous benefits including retirement paid time off paid parental leave health dental and vision benefits life insurance and long and short-term disability and more.$140000 -$198000 annually DOE Relocation Sign On Bonus Incentives & Loan Repayment OptionsProvides comprehensive addiction and family medicine services within the scope of training and experience to people of all ages and Essential Functions and Accountabilities of the JobProvides comprehensive addiction medicine services under the direction of the medical director including but not limited to diagnosis treatment education coordination of care referral preventative care harm reduction and health maintenance to a dedicated panel of motivational interviewing and other engagement and rapport-building techniques to achieve optimal patient encourages and teaches patients how to adjust to life without drugs and to maintain optimal patient experience using strong listening and communication long-term patient care patient to become independent and meet personal alongside an interdisciplinary team to discuss assess and resolve patient issues collaboratively and professionally. Participates fully in shared local urgent/emergent care on-call accurate and timely documentation of services is accordance with SEARHC SEARHC physician as needed for patient care and uses other access to specialists as needed (i.e. AristaMD ANMC providers etc.).Provides medical services at facilities within the SEARHC care network and other facilities and locations listed in SEARHCs compact and funding agreement with the Indian Health participates in SEARHC quality patient care initiatives and quality assurance participates in provider meetings clinic meetings and SEARHC medical staff FunctionsDepending upon the location and needs of the community served participates in shared after-hours emergency call Certifications and Licenses RequiredState of Alaska Medical License as an NP or PABoard-certified in specialty by accrediting bodyMaintains active unrestricted DEA active SEARHC medical staff for all PALS and ATLS certification within 1 year of start date for providers performing after-hours emergency work in remote clinics (e.g. Haines Hoonah Gustavus Angoon Kake Klawock).ALSO training is preferred for providers performing after-hours emergency work in remote RequiredTwo years of experience as a practicing providerOne year experience working with substance use disorders/addiction medicineAdditional clinical experience or training prior to practice as a licensed provider may be considered by the Medical Director of Primary Care Clinics to meet this minimum experience ofPrimary health care addiction medicine practices principles and interventionsBasic emergency care and protocol where appropriateCommon disease processes and pharmacologyStandards of care EMTALA HIPAA health care risk management principles medical ethics and medical malpractice principlesSkills inEffective communication skill and ability (including motivational interviewing) to interact with staff and patientsOperating essential basic medical equipmentMaking proper assessments based upon history exam lab x-ray and other health promotion health prevention and harm reduction strategies into patient careEducating patients and family members about diagnoses treatment plan alternatives risks options and medicationsProviding high-quality health care services including the performance of medical procedures appropriate to the outpatient and emergency care settingAbility toPromote teamwork and proficient in POC testing and serum lab utilize electronic medical record and other clinically required listen to patients and family express ideas through oral and written analyze complex situations and solve implement clinical program strategies.
