Based in Madrid this role will engage with Engineering and Procurement companies (EPC) across Iberia for the pursuit of valve projects. Candidate will work collaboratively with regional Emerson pursuit teams and supported by various teams to engage influence and win projects. The role will be comprised of project pursuit and coordination activities with EPCs in Iberia including project qualification pursuit strategy bid preparation/submittal EPC communication market intelligence EPC procurement strategy and to deliver key value messages to EPC offices aligned to pursuit strategy.

In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Run the pursuit qualification process on project opportunities ensuring alignment of strategy with potential
  • Understand and communicate the departments pursuit priorities within the organization
  • Forge key contact relationships within the identified EPC offices especially procurement and Engineering teams
  • Ensure bid proposals are submitted accurately with the strategy and within the customer deadline
  • Support project pursuit and strategic accounts organizations withApproved Manufacturer List (AML) /Approved Vendor List (AVL) additions and global customer/key account presentations
  • Aligns with the pursuit strategy between the business unit & Spanish Sales
  • Present products/solutions
  • Understand approvals and requirements of manufacturing plants
  • Improve Project Win ratio based on a differentiated business case and customer value creation and understand the overall guidelines of the business unit.
  • Understand competition their positioning and selling points. Communicate proactively market intel to the business.
  • Engage at early stage of projects to influence and provide sales intelligence to optimize technical and commercial proposals
  • Make sure communication channels are opened locally for detailed quotations clarification and alignment before and during bidding process involving product quotation team
  • Make sure communication channels are opened to facilitate value proposition discussions

For This Role You Will Need:

  • Technical bachelors degree is preferred
  • Fluency in Spanish & English
  • 5 years of experience in sales in the valve industry preferably with direct experience in triple offset valves sales and relevant served industries and customers
  • Understanding of the global environment and business trends in the process industry
  • 3 years of experience in working with global EPCs
  • Proven understanding of product solutions in key valve applications within various segments including O&G LNG Chem/Petrochem & Sustainability.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills
