-Under the supervision of the building Principal and the Director of Curriculum & Technology the Curriculum Leaders serve as liaisons within and between schools and the central office administration-The work of the Curriculum Leaders focuses primarily on building curricular continuity across grade levels (subject areas) and disciplines and ensuring that the district-wide curriculum is delivered consistently. To that end Curriculum Leaders-Serve on the school and district Data Teams. Assist the building instructional staff and teachers in the assessment of student performance the interpretation of data and the implementation of best practices -Assist with the facilitation of collaboration/common planning meetings and best instructional practices-Serve on assigned Curriculum Council and serve as liaison between the school and Curriculum Council providing written correspondence to staff of council activities reporting at faculty/department meetings and soliciting feedback from faculty on curricular planning-Facilitate communication between stakeholders-Work with administrators and teachers to provide information it the areas of curriculum implementation and assessment including peer coaching peer observation and the support of new teachers and to review curriculum guides and elements of the standards based report cards-Organize and assist with curriculum information curriculum instruction and assessment initiatives and communication of goals and objectives to parents and the community-Assist with the planning and ordering of curriculum and instructional materials-Curriculum Leaders are encouraged and will be support to participate in regional committees and job-alike groups relative to the respective subject area responsibility including but not limited to STEM CPMSIE NEC-Curriculum Leaders will be appointed to the position annually with stipend established by the META/SC Agreement
