Job Description

Corewell Health is offering a $2000 sign on bonus for this full time MA III position

Scope of Work

Under the direction of management and physician leadership performs and oversees functions related to the clinical activities including but not limited to: maintains patient flow by assisting and promoting the delivery of primary and preventative health care performs technical procedures lab protocols and clinically oriented activities under physician/provider direction. The Medical Assistant III will assist management in achieving office efficiencies in accordance with stated policies/procedures to ensure efficient operations with a focus on supporting physicians clinic staff and management which embodies the Service First philosophy to promote customer satisfaction.


Qualifications

  • Required High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Required Completion of an accredited MA program including a clinical rotation or equivalent experience. Certifications listed below are effective April 7 2025. Team members may have other certifications and hire dates before April 7 2025.
  • 1 year of relevant experience 1 year (12 months) MA experience; or completed CH MA internship and (6) months MA experience; or completed CH MA apprenticeship program required Required
  • 2 years of relevant experience 2-3 years of MA experience Preferred
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Excludes population health remote medical assistants Upon Hire required Or
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Excludes population health remote medical assistants Upon Hire required
  • CRT-At least one Certification from preferred list - UNKNOWN Unknown 90 Days required
  • CRT-Medical Assistant Certified (CMA) - AAMA American Association of Medical Assistants 90 Days preferred Or
  • CRT-Medical Assistant Registered (RMA) - AMT American Medical Technologists 90 Days preferred Or
  • CRT-Medical Assistant Certified (NCMA) - NCCT National Center for Competency Testing 90 Days preferred Or
  • CRT-Medical Assistant Certified (CCMA) - NHA National Healthcareer Association 90 Days preferred Or
  • CRT-At least one Certification from preferred list - UNKNOWN Unknown ARMA 90 Days preferred Or
  • LIC-License Practical Nursing (LPN) - STATEMI State of Michigan 90 Days preferred Or
