Amazon is looking for a content producer who will execute on our content strategy for Amazons corporate news site . As part of the Amazon News producer team you will help make the site the primary and most trusted source of news and information about Amazon for external audiences.
The team member will own end-to-end content management optimization and publishing for online articles that support business communications teams across the Communications and Corporate Responsibility (CCR) organization. You will support all aspects of website and partner management including but not limited to: publishing and bar-raising articles; supporting search engine optimization (SEO) efforts for new and existing content; improving reader engagement; and providing training and writing documentation. Were looking for a detail-oriented data-driven and reader-focused digital content professional. In a breaking-news environment youll be expected to manage complex fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges while looking around corners for risk.

Key job responsibilities Project manage content projects through their lifecycle which includes managing stakeholders and managing several projects at once CMS content development Contribute to editorial calendar planning and entry-point programming Coordinate recurring meetings with business communications teams to share insights and educational materials Develop insights and reporting using analytics tools including A/B test experimentation Train other publishers and share learnings and best practices in a global team setting Conduct peer reviews to ensure articles are error-free
A day in the life The producer works closely with editorial and design counterparts as well as internal comms social and business teams to ensure were providing high-quality breaking news and informational articles to readers that satisfies their curiosity shares new products features and information that is relevant for them.
About the team This role is part of the Amazon News team within Communications & Corporate Responsibility which oversees websites including content and SEO as well as the Amazon News email newsletter.
- 2 years of recent professional communications newsroom or public relations experience - Bachelors degree in journalism communications public relations or a related field
- Excellent oral and written communicator comfortable with senior management visibility - Strong sense of editorial tone and voice - Experience working cross-functionally and influencing without authority - Knowledgeable about SEO and digital media trends and how to apply these insights to their work - Exceptional team player with a positive attitude who is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done
