You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThis position assists the Senior Technician in the planning coordinating and directing of soil investigations for the design construction and maintenance units within the University Region. Investigates and helps solve geotechnical related issues to ensure the department delivers a high-quality product to the public. Interpret plans recognize special problems prepare reports and maps in micro-station make recommendations directly to the project engineers to solve problems related to road and bridge construction during design. Conduct final project file reviews work in the lab conducting concrete strength Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) aggregate and soil testing.
Operate a vehicle or vehicle/trailer combination with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 26001 pounds or more (e.g. power auger truck) when performing soil borings.
The Salary listed above is a range that reflects the minimum rate at the entry (8) level through the maximum rate at the advanced(E10) level. Based on education and experience candidates will be reviewed to determine what level they are qualified for.
