Job Description

GEICO seeks a highly motivated leader to join our team as Director Commercial Claims Physical Damage - Trucking. The ideal candidate will be a key leader with the Physical Damage team and has a proven track record of successfully driving results a passion for helping others and will bring energy and enthusiasm to the team. You will lead and execute change management claims strategies and leader development. You will lead the execution of physical damage claims handlingloss control strategicinitiatives and processes. You will drive execution of operational risk management regulatory compliance training policies and procedures across multiple teams. This position will oversee a segment of operations for countrywide physical damage (specifically commercial vehicles).

Location: Remote

Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance on technical matters monitors claims reserve and extends settlement authority.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners and oversee progress and improvement of physical damage initiatives.
  • Leverage data and analytics to drive decision making build and create new processes drive efficiencies and deliver business results.
  • Consistently coach managers on leading their teams on claims handling inspecting and reviewing quality of claims and responding to escalations.
  • Plan organize and control the resources to deliver the appropriate claims service.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations policies procedures and the fair claims settlement practices act.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree or 4 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • 4 years in commercial trucking claims handling required.
  • 5 years of customer service change management strategic planning process implementation cross-functional collaboration and team leadership.
  • 4 years of P&C claims experience with demonstrated proficiency.
  • 3 years of management experience leading teams handling Physical Damage Claims.
  • Track record of process improvement building operational excellence and leading organizations through change.
  • Advanced level of business acumen in the areas of the industry practices and emerging trends to drive exceptional results and process improvements.
  • Has strong organizational and analytical skills as well as excellent written and oral communication skills.

Annual Salary

$136325.00 - $212175.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include but are not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the role the selected candidates work experience education and training the work location as well as market and business considerations.
