DescriptionJOB SUMMARY:
This role is an exciting opportunity to apply financial skills in a broad context within a dynamic and growing industry working cross-functionally across the organization while shaping marketing acquisition strategy. This is a highly visible role with regular exposure to the highest levels of Caesars Digital. The successful candidate will combine a strong financial and analytical skillset with a strategic outlook acting as the operational backbone of the Marketing department and working cross-functionally to drive performance.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee Marketing Financials Manage a team of two overseeing financial housekeeping of the Marketing department including invoice coding monthly financial close process and monthly variance analysis.
- Oversee Marketing Budget Primary point of contact liaising with Marketing channel leads and corporate FP&A to develop annual Marketing Budget for Sports iCasino and Overhead verticals. Responsible for Budget tracking highlighting risks and opportunities and dynamically re-allocating Budget amongst Marketing channels based on performance to achieve maximum ROI against company objectives.
- Maintain Forecasting Models Build and maintain KPI models conducting frequent scenario analyses ROI analysis and presenting recommended marketing investment levels and media mix to achieve strategic company objectives. Own the marketing forecast for the launch of Caesars Sportsbook/ iCasino operations in new states or new product initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration Act as the intersection between Marketing Finance and Analytics working cross-functionally and collaboratively to ensure data-driven decision making and bring analytical rigor to the Marketing department.
- Ad-hoc Analyses Conduct ad-hoc analyses as required - independently in collaboration with marketing partners or at the direction of senior executives - to continually optimize spend and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of marketing performance.
- Executive Presentation Represent Marketing department to report on performance to wide array of stakeholders throughout the organization
REQUIREMENTS
- Financial background comfortable with financial housekeeping (accruals monthly close process variance analysis etc.)
- Financial Modelling experience
- Demonstrated experience with ad hoc analyses using critical thinking to approach novel problems in logical and thought-out way
- Expert communication skills capable of presenting to executives and more broadly throughout the organization
- Expert with Excel experience with SQL a major plus
- Experience managing a team a plus
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong understanding of financial and accounting fundamentals FP&A experience preferred
- Able to work independently conduct own analyses with minimal supervision and possess a self-starter attitude
- Online gaming/ sports industry experience or a passion for the industry strongly preferred but not required
- Bachelors degree
