May provide specialty consultative services to other SEARHC Essential Functions and Accountabilities of the JobProvides comprehensive urology services on an outpatient basis to all SEARHC patients including evaluations clinical analysis diagnosis and ongoing therapy recommendation. Evaluates and treat patients with genitourinary disorders of the kidneys bladder adrenal glands and male reproductive urological testing appropriately incorporates use of laboratory tests radiological studies and diagnostic exams such as cystoscopies in the clinic endoscopic and laparoscopic surgical procedures as appropriate: abdominal pelvic or retroperitoneal with SEARHC medical and administrative leadership to create discrete service line approaches to specific urological problems where indicated by with SEARHC medical leadership to participate in quality assessment and quality improvement initiatives including peer review where with SEARHC medical leadership to provide educational programs to the SEARHC medical staff on at least an annual with SEARHC administrative leadership particularly Specialty Leadership to promote the SEARHC urology program and build its practice. This may include meetings with providers and members of the community in Juneau Sitka and other SEARHC urology consultations at the request of other care in all medical staff functions as requested to include quality by medical staff bylaws rules and FunctionsEvaluates patients for ability to treat conditions locally and refers them to higher level of care when ResponsibilitiesAssists in building a urology service that meets population the care team and other providers when appropriate in providing quality urology Certifications and Licenses RequiredCompletion of a bachelors degree medical school degree and an accredited urology Alaska medical licenseBoard Certified or EligibleExperience Required2 years working as a urologist in a clinical ofRequires advanced knowledge in medicine and in the specialty of specialty knowledge in treatment and therapies for urological knowledge of regulatory guidelines and standards of care for inOral and written communications judgment and judicious use of tests (e.g. laboratory and imaging tests).Ability toAbility to gather information analyze data and make advanced clinical determinations.
