Job Description
Job Title: Multimedia Communication Faculty
Reporting Relationship: Chair Division of Modern Language Literature & Communication
Department: Division of Modern Language Literature & Communication
Campus Location: Elder Hall Marion Indiana Campus
Start date: Spring 2026 or Fall 2026 pending funding.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach courses in one or more of the following areas: video production audio production media scriptwriting broadcast performance multimedia storytelling documentary film making broadcast journalism principles of communication
- Engage in advising and mentoring undergraduate students
- Participate in divisional committee work and assessment of academic programs
- Participate in curricular development for Multimedia Communication
Qualifications:According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.
Education
- Graduate degree in Communication or related field required
- Terminal degree preferred
Experience
- Teaching experience at the collegiate level is highly desirable
Required Skills
- Excellence in knowledge and skills in relation to the appropriate field(s)
- Ability to stay current with industry trends to equip students with the skills needed for professional multimedia careers
- Duties include curriculum development student advising research and contributing to the overall academic mission of the division
- A strong testimony of personal faith and commitment to Christ is essential along with an agreement to live according to the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement
- An enthusiasm for the Wesleyan tradition and ability to function well within a community hosted by The Wesleyan Church
