Business Insider is hiring an Account Director Growth Tech to join our Revenue team to lead and grow strategic relationships across some of our most high-profile technology and telecommunications partners.

The Role & Team:

Business Insider the influential global business journalism brand is seeking a strategic curious and driven Account Director to lead relationships across some of our most high-profile tech and telecom partners.

This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives at the intersection of storytelling strategy and digital innovation and wants to grow with a brand thats redefining what business media looks like. Youll step into a portfolio anchored by two of the most recognizable companies in the world with a clear path to expand and shape new opportunities across white space accounts with significant upside.

Youll join Business Insider at an exciting point in our evolution as we scale our influence and offerings to become one of the worlds most beloved and trusted media brands. Were looking for someone who shares that ambition brings a strong POV to the table and knows how to turn good conversations into great partnerships.

As an Account Director Growth Tech you will own and grow a portfolio of high-profile accounts within the technology and telecommunications sectors including two of our most prominent client relationships.

Youll be responsible for translating business goals into high-impact media solutions that span branded content programmatic video audio events and data. Youll also be expected to bring fresh thinking to the table influence cross-functional teams and serve as a trusted advisor to your clients.

The Account Director reports directly to the Managing Director Vertical Sales and sits on the Tech & Telco vertical within the Revenue organization. This position is open to candidates located in either NYC or San Francisco.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day and long-term relationships with key tech and telco brands translating business goals into marketing programs that perform
  • Develop and pitch full-funnel solutions across our suite: branded content video programmatic data and events
  • Manage a mix of mature and emerging accounts with support but also the runway to grow
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing Studios Media Planning and Client Services to bring ideas to life and deliver on execution
  • Serve as a true partner to your clients not just selling but educating problem-solving and pushing innovation
  • Use Salesforce to manage pipeline forecast and track performance
  • Act as an ambassador for Business Insider both internally and externally showing up with energy professionalism and insight
  • Hit or exceed revenue targets and help shape the future of how Business Insider shows up in the tech space

The Ideal Candidate Has:

  • A strong communicator with 5 years of digital ad sales experience
  • Deep knowledge of the tech and/or telco landscape with existing client and agency relationships preferred
  • Equally comfortable discussing branded content and data-driven media strategies and ideally fluent in programmatic
  • A proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-moving highly collaborative environment
  • Passionate about storytelling media innovation and helping clients win
  • Proven ability to develop strategic account plans and manage complex sales cycles

Salary & Benefits:

  • Base salary: $140000 - $150000 (dependent on skills experience and competencies)
