Job Description

We are seeking a Technical Portfolio Manager to lead and support the European Technology Portfolio with a focus on product development delivery governance risk and compliance and strategic stakeholder engagement. This is a high-impact role that will work closely with senior leaders across Technology Product Risk and Operations to ensure the successful execution of annual portfolio initiatives.


You will be instrumental in driving delivery excellence aligning technology investments with business priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Leadership: Oversee the European technology portfolio ensuring alignment with strategic goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Delivery Oversight: Monitor and support the execution of complex software development initiatives across multiple teams and geographies.
  • Governance & Reporting: Represent the portfolio in forums such as ITGS ORC and European Portfolio Reviews. Provide clear data-driven updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Risk & Compliance: Ensure all initiatives meet internal and external compliance standards proactively managing risks and audit readiness.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with cross-functional leaders across Product Engineering Risk and Business Operations.
  • Programme Recovery: Identify and resolve delivery challenges including turning around underperforming programmes.
  • Agile Enablement: Champion Agile delivery practices and continuous improvement across teams.

What Were Looking For

  • 10 years of experience in technical programme project or portfolio management within large-scale software delivery environments.
  • Proven track record in payments fintech or financial services is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies delivery frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder landscapes and drive consensus.
  • Experience with risk management compliance and regulatory frameworks in a financial context.
  • Background in Computer Science Engineering or a related technical field is a strong plus.
  • Highly self-directed detail-oriented and capable of managing ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
