Position Summary
This position is primarily responsible for all administrative fiscal and operations coordination in the School of Arts and Sciences Deans Office. Reporting to the Dean the Coordinator of Operations works closely with the School of Arts and Sciences leadership team to coordinate Deans Office events programs and meetings takes the lead on financial processing tasks supports the Deans leadership team with scheduling and coordination of office calendars and supports the Schools faculty and staff on operational tasks. This individual will serve as the Spend Coordinator for the School of Arts and Sciences and will support academic departments and programs in efforts related to budgeting. In this role the Coordinator of Operations also works closely with the following areas of the University to carry out duties: Provost Office Enrollment Management Admissions Marketing and Communications Finance & Administration Advancement Advisory Councils Alumni and campus visitors (including prospective students and families). This is a full-time 12-month position.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree and two or more years of experience in an operational and/or administrative support role. Proficient in programs including (but not limited to) Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel Microsoft PowerPoint Microsoft Teams and internet search software relevant to the position. Intermediate skills with specific University database software (e.g. Banner Argos Canvas Degree Works) and website update software. Excellent communication skills (i.e. grammar vocabulary) to be applied to in-person virtual telephone and written communications on behalf of the Deans Office. Written communications include (but are not limited to) email letters memos office newsletters etc. Strong interpersonal skills to be applicable for developing and maintaining respectful and productive working relationships with University administration faculty staff and students. Strong organizational skills to be applied to the scheduling of Deans Office meetings event and programs. Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of La Salle University.
Preferred Qualifications
Five or more years of relevant experience in a higher education setting. Experience interviewing hiring and managing teams of employees and/or student workers. Experience assisting with financial processing in a University setting including (but not limited to) expense reimbursements and reports check requests approval of timesheets etc. Experience assisting with deliverables related to student advising in a higher education setting. Prior experience assisting with or managing communications deliverables and tools including (but not limited to) social media channels website revisions developing and distribution of electronic newsletters etc.
